Hi, I'm Ahmed.

Malek Webworks is a one-person studio — which is really just a formal way of saying that when you hire me, you get me. Not an account manager relaying your feedback to a developer you'll never speak to, not an outsourced team working from a template library. Me, writing the code, from the first conversation to the site going live.

I build everything by hand: plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, no WordPress, no Wix, no page builders. It's slower than dragging pre-made blocks around, but it means every site I ship is exactly as fast and exactly as tailored as it needs to be — nothing loaded that isn't earning its place.

How I work

Most of my clients so far have come through referrals — one project leading to the next because the person before them was happy with how it went. That matters to me more than a slick pitch deck. It means the way I actually work holds up under real scrutiny: clear communication, honest timelines, and a site that still looks good a year after launch, not just on the day it's approved.

I keep projects small and personal by design. That means I can give each one real attention, reply quickly, and stay accountable for the result — there's no one else to pass the blame to, and I plan to keep it that way as the studio grows.

What I believe about websites

• Fast beats flashy. A site that loads in under a second on a mobile connection will always outperform one with more animation and less substance.
• Ownership matters. Hand-coded sites aren't locked into a platform's pricing, plugins or breaking changes — you own the code outright.
• SEO isn't an afterthought. Structured data, semantic markup and clean meta tags get built in from the first commit, not bolted on later.
• Accessible by default. A site that only works for some visitors isn't finished.
